Day 4 and 5 Solstice Cleanse! I want chocolate and lots of it!

Yesterday went well I met with a friend and we had a healthy breakfast at my local veggie/vegan restuarant the Oaktree. I had tofu scramble with mushrooms, beans, mashed avacado, gf falafel and hashbrown. I struggled to eat it all after consuming smaller amounts for a few days.
Its amazing how quick our bodies adjust to food. Im always in awe of our bodies and how they adjust. All of our issues with food are in the mind and emotions. Once my mind is on board its easy to get into these deeper longer cleanses. If im not in the right place emotionally its an uphill struggle.
About 3pm I had a yummy choc/peanut butter milkshake made with almond milk, peanut butter and cacao powder.
For the rest of the day I drunk water and a large voss bottle full of smoothie. It was a beautiful purple pink colour.
Very Cherry Berry Smoothie recipe!

  • Half cup cherries
  • Half cup blueberries
  • 1 banana
  • 1 beetroot
  • 1 tsp maca
  • 1 tsp spirulina powder
  • 1 tsp wheatgrass powder
  • 1 tsp barleygrass powder
  • 1 desert spoon of milled linseed
  • 2 heap tsp psyllium husk
  • Half cup almond milk
  • Half cup apple juice
  • Quarter cup kombucha

I put it all in the blender and whizzed up 💜

I could feel deeper emotions regarding food surfacing yesterday and a few random cravings kicked in for greasy chips and crisps. I gave myself a prep talk and didnt cave in as i knew i wouldnt feel good for eating them at the moment. I will make myself some potato wedges this week to compromise 😁
    Today day 4
I had a busy day today so prepared extra smoothie yesterday and a raw muesli for this morning. I added cacao powder into it and maca to give me an added boost. It was yummy.
I did give in to a pack of marmite crisps today whilst out. I will make some raw kale crisps to have to hand for future crunchy, salting cravings. I am craving chocolate today, I may have a small piece of dark chocolate later tonight.

Tonight im having boiled rice with curried chickpeas. I find starchy foods like rice on day 5/6 helps the cleansing process and will give me some extra energy as day 5 can be a tough one on all levels.

I needed a quick budget dinner tonight. The punjabi choley i picked up from the Asian section it was only £1.60 gluten free and vegan so thought id give it a try. I added some coconut butter and topped with spring onion. It was very nice although a bit too salty for me. I made some basamati rice as I didnt have any brown rice. I added turmeric and cardamom to the rice whilst cooking.
I had a bfree gluten free wrap in the fridge so I put it in a hot pan with a little coconut oil topped with garlic, olive oil and celtic sea salt.
Served the curry on a bed of spinach and a little mango chutney on the side. It was all tasty and very filling.
Im now drinking a chaga tea made with turmeric and cardamom 💜
I was going to start juicing today that will wait for a couple of days now because where I am working im not always near a toilet 😲
I look forward to my moods shifting into a better place next day or two. Its about going with it, meditating, excercising and pushing through.
