Days 6 – 11 of my 28 day Solstice Vegan cleanse.ย

I have had a busy week and to be honest just didnt feel like writing.
Ive taken photos of some of the meals ive made. I have had a big shift 4 days ago, my body decided to let go and it felt good.
Turn away if your squemish……
I have been having the best poops ever. The ones when it feels like you have thoroughly been. My skin is feeling softer and I had more energy until ive hit a slump today. I have had a few emotional days with old stuff coming up to heal right back to my teenage years.
On Thursday I attended a great ecstatic dance class it was beautiful, I got to dance shake and play until my body was wet with sweat it was just what I needed.
Food…. ive been having smoothie bowls or overnight oats for breakfast. Fruit and a few naked bars for snacks, smoothies with kombucha and clean water. Im adding more raw foods to my evening meals.
Ive just had a cooked brunch of courgette, onion, beans, vege sausage and I made some butter bean scotch cakes and kimchi on the side.
Recipe:

  • 1 can butter beans
  • 3 tbs milled linseed (soaked for 15)
  • Gf flour
  • Water
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • mash the butter beans
  • Add into the soaked linseed
  • Add third cup water
  • Add salt & pepper to taste
  • Add flour until firmer consistency
  • Make into patties
  • Fry in olive or coconut oil until firm

For tonight ive prepared raw pesto courgette with salad, onion, basil and kimchi. (Pic below)

Smoothie bowl with nut milk, peanut butter, banana, maca, linseeds, hemp and topped with chopped nuts.

Similar to above with cherries, cinnamon and ginger.

Cheers! Kombucha ๐Ÿ’œ

Day 4 and 5 Solstice Cleanse! I want chocolate and lots of it! ย

Yesterday went well I met with a friend and we had a healthy breakfast at my local veggie/vegan restuarant the Oaktree. I had tofu scramble with mushrooms, beans, mashed avacado, gf falafel and hashbrown. I struggled to eat it all after consuming smaller amounts for a few days.
Its amazing how quick our bodies adjust to food. Im always in awe of our bodies and how they adjust. All of our issues with food are in the mind and emotions. Once my mind is on board its easy to get into these deeper longer cleanses. If im not in the right place emotionally its an uphill struggle.
About 3pm I had a yummy choc/peanut butter milkshake made with almond milk, peanut butter and cacao powder.
For the rest of the day I drunk water and a large voss bottle full of smoothie. It was a beautiful purple pink colour.
Very Cherry Berry Smoothie recipe!

  • Half cup cherries
  • Half cup blueberries
  • 1 banana
  • 1 beetroot
  • 1 tsp maca
  • 1 tsp spirulina powder
  • 1 tsp wheatgrass powder
  • 1 tsp barleygrass powder
  • 1 desert spoon of milled linseed
  • 2 heap tsp psyllium husk
  • Half cup almond milk
  • Half cup apple juice
  • Quarter cup kombucha

I put it all in the blender and whizzed up ๐Ÿ’œ

I could feel deeper emotions regarding food surfacing yesterday and a few random cravings kicked in for greasy chips and crisps. I gave myself a prep talk and didnt cave in as i knew i wouldnt feel good for eating them at the moment. I will make myself some potato wedges this week to compromise ๐Ÿ˜
    Today day 4
I had a busy day today so prepared extra smoothie yesterday and a raw muesli for this morning. I added cacao powder into it and maca to give me an added boost. It was yummy.
I did give in to a pack of marmite crisps today whilst out. I will make some raw kale crisps to have to hand for future crunchy, salting cravings. I am craving chocolate today, I may have a small piece of dark chocolate later tonight.

Tonight im having boiled rice with curried chickpeas. I find starchy foods like rice on day 5/6 helps the cleansing process and will give me some extra energy as day 5 can be a tough one on all levels.

I needed a quick budget dinner tonight. The punjabi choley i picked up from the Asian section it was only ยฃ1.60 gluten free and vegan so thought id give it a try. I added some coconut butter and topped with spring onion. It was very nice although a bit too salty for me. I made some basamati rice as I didnt have any brown rice. I added turmeric and cardamom to the rice whilst cooking.
I had a bfree gluten free wrap in the fridge so I put it in a hot pan with a little coconut oil topped with garlic, olive oil and celtic sea salt.
Served the curry on a bed of spinach and a little mango chutney on the side. It was all tasty and very filling.
Im now drinking a chaga tea made with turmeric and cardamom ๐Ÿ’œ
I was going to start juicing today that will wait for a couple of days now because where I am working im not always near a toilet ๐Ÿ˜ฒ
I look forward to my moods shifting into a better place next day or two. Its about going with it, meditating, excercising and pushing through.

    Raw Chocolate! Sharing My Love!

I’ve had a busy, amazing day! making Raw Chocs! It never ceases to amaze me how therapeutic cacao is! It takes me to the place of love, nostalgia and awakens all my senses. The smell is divine and sensual! The feel of silky smooth melted chocolate, swirling around the bowl is arousing and sexual! Watching the reflection of light amidst the spiral upon spiral is Alchemical and quite often sends me into a trance like state! Pouring the melted chocolate into the moulds wishing I could bathe in a spring of warm chocolate, opens my heart chakra and unleashes my inner Goddess! Decorating the chocolates sends my right brain into a swirl of creativity! I love Cacao, love pouring my love into the cacao and I feel so grateful to be able to share my love with whoever chooses to eat my chocolate love <3
